Ayrton Senna Shop launches new collection of items at McLaren headquarters with Bruno Senna

This week, the Ayrton Senna Shop – the driver’s official store – is launching a new collection of McLaren items. Last Monday, (July 10) Bruno Senna took part in the unveiling of the new line of products in Woking, at the British team’s headquarters, and talked with Indy Lall, one of the mechanics responsible for his uncle’s cars during the three-time F1 world champion’s historic stint with the team.

“It was very cool to meet this great professional who were part of Ayrton’s journey and helped him in his great achievements with McLaren. To visit the Woking headquarters is always an unique experience, and it was even more emotional this time, since I was able to learn new stories they had with him and the cars he raced in back then”, says Bruno.

Besides being available at the international Ayrton Senna Shop, all items from the new collection will be sold at four places, over the weekend, at the Silverstone Circuit, where the British GP takes place. The new line of products honoring Ayrton will feature t-shirts, caps, key-chains, shirts, stickers, accessories and others.  All items will soon be available in Brazil.

“There will be a truck at Silverstone with all available items, besides a space where a McLaren that was driven by Ayrton will be displayed and co-branded Ayrton Senna/McLaren products will be sold exclusively. There will also be an exclusive place for the Lotus collection, which was recently launched at the Monaco GP. At the Paddock Village, similarly to what happened in Monaco, two pictures paying tribute to Senna will be painted live, and the proceedings from their sales will be reverted to the Institute”, says Bárbara Robles, Brand Licensing Manager.

Silverstone and Senna:

The Silverstone circuit is one of the most iconic in F1, and it has hosted more than 50 GPs. As the birthplace of European motor sports, the raceway was one of the places where Senna competed the most, throughout his career, between his years in Formula Ford (1981 and 1982), the British F3 (1983) and F1 (1984 to 1994) – a total of 20 races, 14 podium-finishes and 10 wins, the most special of which took place in 1988,  under heavy rain, with McLaren.
