Enzo Fittipaldi will race the full F3 season in 2021 with Czech team Charouz Racing System. The debut will be this weekend, at the Spanish GP in Barcelona, where his brother, Pietro, also will be present as a reserve and test driver for Haas F1 Team.

“I never hid from anyone that my desire is to make it to F1 and one day be a world champion, despite the difficulties we had at the end of last year to get the necessary budget to continue in the preliminary F1 categories. We have always had a great relationship with everyone on the Charouz Racing System team and when the invitation to do the full season in 2021 came up, we didn’t think twice: an opportunity like this is really unique at this stage of the career and I thank everyone on the team, in special Antonin Charouz (team CEO) and Bob Vavrik (team leader)”, says Enzo, who has important titles in Europe such as Italian F4. He already has 39 of the 40 points needed to obtain the Super License and raced in F3 in 2020.

Charouz Racing System has a history of success in motorsport, winning championships in F-3000, Le Mans Series, FIA GT and F4. Another highlight of team was the title of World Series in 2017, precisely with Pietro Fittipaldi, brother of Enzo. In 2018, the team made its debut in F2 and, in the following season, in F3, where it also competed in association with another big name in the sport, Sauber.

“We are very happy to have a young talent as Enzo Fittipaldi, who has already proved himself to be an extremely talented and dedicated driver in all categories where he has raced”, says Charouz.

The season officially begins this Friday, with the dispute of free practice and qualifying. In 2021, all stages are triple rounds.

“I really liked this format, which should favor a greater balance between the teams and make disputes more dynamic. Of course, losing the pre-season is not ideal, but I already have a year of experience in the car and I believe I can help the team in this process of evolution and development ”, says Enzo.

With the new contract for the full 2021 F3 season, the Brazilian will focus his career in Europe again and will not do the rest of the Indy Pro 2000 season.

“Racing in USA is excellent and in the ideal world it would be great to be able to compete in as many categories as possible, but the opportunity that came with Charouz's invitation makes it possible for us to prioritize F3 in an even better condition, with great prospects of already doing it the next step even in 2021”, says Enzo.
